Co-Founders Corey and Arthur have always been storytellers. As musicians, they were writing music every day. As fans of comic books, manga, sci-fi and fantasy, they've always wanted to branch out by writing stories, building worlds, and bringing characters to life. In 2020, they formed Angry Skwrl, and have been writing stories ever since.

Our mission is to tell awesome stories with cool and unique characters, and to give our very best to each and every one of our readers!

Co-Founder Corey Balbuena is a writer and hip hop artist from Boston, Massachusetts. Corey has been a fan of comic books and manga for years, and has always wanted to be part of the comic book community. 

Co-Founder Arthur William Trakimas was a writer and hip hop artist from Indianapolis, Indiana. He was an avid gamer, reader and Actual Play podcast fan. Arthur has always been an adventurer at heart. 

Arthur was instrumental to the development of Angry Skwrl Comics, and created, wrote and contributed to many of our stories. We hope to make him proud and honor his memory.

Daniel Ariel is a writer/storyteller and creative from South Boston, Massachusetts. Daniel is well-versed in comic books, fantasy novels, trading card games, anime and video games.

Lee J. Giles is a writer and illustrator from Windham, Maine, and the creator of Beyond The Page. Lee has made a name for himself in not only the world of comics, but in the hip hop community as well. He takes part in events put on by Bars Over Bars, and is the Co-Founder of Beyond The Mic (with partner-in-crime JT Sloane, AKA "The Dirt").

We have been fortunate enough to work with some amazing and wonderfully creative artists, such as Lee J. Giles, Mahmoud Nagaty, Carmauy Co., HailEgeg, Tay B. Amanda, Matthew Shea, Hmwpnd, Julia Tinsley, and more! These incredible artists (and outstanding people) have created a lot of stunning artwork that we can't wait to share with the world! 

The "Skwrlyverse Trading Card Game" is now in development! The game itself is being designed by the brilliant Emmanuel Rubio, and the components are being designed by talented artist Julia Tinsley. We hope to further explore the game industry in the future, so stay tuned!
